BACSAC® HISTORY
The BACSAC® adventure was born in 2008 from the meeting of two landscape architects and a designer, one of whom wanted to plant trees on his Parisian terrace that could thrive above ground while circumventing load-bearing constraints. Together, they created a new type of geotextile fabric pot - flexible, lightweight and sturdy, in the tradition of the grow bags used in plant nurseries. The weight of the pot is replaced by that of the soil and the plants. Contaminated soil, weight and space constraints: BACSAC® is a practical, aesthetic and sustainable solution for access to the earth, which is now being adopted in towns and cities all over the world!
About BACSAC
BACSAC® CONCEPT
In a BACSAC®, the root system is denser and more balanced, promoting harmonious plant growth. The permeability of its technical materials allows excess water to drain and the soil to breathe all throughout the container, avoiding plants to become root-bound. Coming in all shapes and many different sizes, the BACSAC® range adapts to all outdoor space configurations and is suitable year round for every type of cultivation: trees, shrubs, vegetables, flowers, herbs, climbing plants. It's also suitable for indoor plants, but remember to protect your floor with a waterproof tray. Durable, it won't break or warp and is frost resistant.
