Grandiose Gardening with Small Window Boxes

Small BACSAC® Planter

Grow aromatic plants on your windowsills, balconies with our small planter.

A small planter for big crops!

Voltaire often repeated in Candide: "We must cultivate our garden!" While some of us are fortunate enough to have a garden or vegetable patch, urban gardeners need to get creative to satisfy their need for soil. For them, we have developed this small, stylish window box planter that, once filled with soil, takes on the organic shape of a peanut in its shell, rather than the traditional rectangular form. This small geotextile or Batyline planter, if you want a touch of color, is designed to cultivate a duo of green plants or flowers.

Unlike a terracotta planter, a wooden box, or a zinc flowerpot, it is lightweight so you can easily move it from your balcony to the inside of your home, from your windowsill to your kitchen, or even place it on the table to harvest and flavor your dishes with freshly picked leaves and branches. With its black strap handles, this small planter is a nomadic flowerpot or flower box that allows you to pick fresh herbs all year round. It's perfect for creating a small urban garden with multiple flower boxes adding beauty and functionality to your space. Use it as a basket to carry your harvested herbs and vegetables conveniently around your home or garden.

Grow your favorite herbs with our BACSAC® planters for aromatic plants

A historic BACSAC® model, this small planter keeps your aromatic plants—basil, thyme, parsley, mint, rosemary—within reach. You can also plant medicinal plants like verbena or lemon balm to make your own infusions, and of course, flowers, perennials, and annuals if you wish! Combine this geotextile planter with BACSAC® round flowerpots to create a small urban garden on your windowsill or balcony. With the balcony planter models, you can plant shrub plants. But if you want a true herb garden on your balcony, terrace, or along your house, the outdoor rectangular planter can be used as a vegetable box to grow your plants in rows. Our window box planters provide an ideal solution for maximizing limited space and adding a touch of greenery to your urban living area. These planters are perfect for growing culinary herbs, ensuring that you always have fresh ingredients at your fingertips.

Available in all our colors, choose the geotextile small planter if you prefer a simple decoration.

Durable materials for thriving plants

The permeable textile complex consists of an inner felt layer of geotextile that protects and contains the roots and an outer fabric designed to withstand years of outdoor conditions. The porosity of this small planter allows the plants to benefit from optimal growing conditions thanks to air circulation. The soil breathes, ensuring that the soil stays moist for longer periods. Excess water from your watering drains naturally to the bottom of the box. With a capacity of 8 liters, use a light substrate, potting soil, which will allow you to easily move your planter. If you have clay balls, you can put a small drainage layer, but it is not mandatory. To make planting easier, we recommend filling it first with potting soil and then digging holes for the root balls of your plants. Don't hesitate to pack it well, especially to give shape to your small planter. Add compost each year to nourish your soil. This small planter is ideal for growing most herbs, ensuring you always have fresh ingredients at hand. If you want green plants to purify the air in your home and give a zen touch to your interior decor, use a saucer or a waterproof sheet to protect your home.

If you decide to transplant your plants, wash your planters in the washing machine at 30°C; they will be ready to welcome new plants! It is always advisable to wash your flowerpot when it is going to host new plants to prevent the spread of diseases. Plus, your pot will look as good as new! If you wish to recycle your small BACSAC® planter, we can do it for you.
