Linear garden

Imagining new formats to cultivate the city, ad infinitum.

It is light as a feather, extends to infinite possibilities and is called the Linear garden. A custom-made planter made out of a simple felt envelope that is cut to order and unfolds strips of earth on the pavement, like furrows in an open-field. Humus-coloured, the Linear garden weaves in and out of the landscape with elegance and discretion, draws straight lines, flows, and ultimately takes shape in the hands of the gardener. A new BACSAC® concept exclusively available on our eshop!

A custom-made planter

Cut to order in the length of your choice, to sow infinite lines of vegetables, flowers and aromatic plants… The Linear garden is available for any length starting from 1.20 metres, in 30cm sections. Upon reception of your order, we cut the desired length and sew the edges of your planter in our Parisian showroom!

Easy-to-assemble, it comes in a kit that takes minutes to set up!

  1. Unroll your planter
  2. Insert the hoops into the sheaths
  3. Place the soil in the centre of the line
  4. Place the elastic bands in the perforated holes and clip on the end-pieces to tighten the sides
  5. Add soil and start planting!
  6. You can also place stakes in the sheaths instead of hoops to grow climbing plants.

On the ground, it weaves in and out on a long balcony, a patio, a courtyard, a vacant plot. Wherever garden soil is absent or unsuitable for growing edible plants.

Flexible and light, it is easily moved to take multiple shapes and trajectories; from the classical lines of a French garden to the symbolic curves of a mandala garden.

Permeable, its protective envelope allows excess water to drain and the earth to breathe, ensuring a dense and balanced development of the root system. Extremely resistant to tearing, abrasion and frost, it is long-lasting and 100% recyclable.

Simple and raw, its brown geotextile felt fabric – called Humus because of its resemblance with soil – blends elegantly into the landscape.
